Am preparing my first CV (Curriculum Vitae) and some people say its ok to add extra details (false ones) to score some extra points. Its like an exaggeration. When you sent in your CV's did it include only the truth or was there a bit additional details as well?
Is it right to add untrue info, since the first thing the organization will judge you on, will be based on your CV?

If you want to have an edge over most other CV's and applicants, Always tell the truth.
If you add extra details and get caught out you would lose the job, so why add untrue info?
If you say you have experience in something imagine how you would feel if they ever ask you to show them what you can do and you cant do it!
So long as your CV is very well presented and error free, and it indicates that you have the skills, experience and references that their looking for you should get on OK.

i always think Cv should be completely true. Lets u have written something false to attract the employers. But eventually they will find out its false as u can't prove it if its being out on paper or whatever.Again if found false u are creating a negative image of urself and nobody will beklieve u then

i dont think it is worth adding any untruth in your CV. honesty always gets rewarded, you may earn some extra points but i think that my cause to loose your confidence when you face the inteviewer, in your inner conscious you will feel guilty and you may loose confidence and just think how embarrassing it would be if you are caught.

Yes you can put untrue information but it depends on the topic that you are providing the information. As an example I think you have done your O/L and A/L s for these points you cant provide false information becoz that you know that you will defenitely caught. So like that you have to consider about the topic that you are providing the information. If its an area that can't give any avidence about you or the information that you have provide in the CV its ok to provide
