Discrimination, prejudice and hate can pop up for any reason at anytime. The color of your skin, what language you speak, you lifestyle choice, your religion or even how much you weigh. Yes, ignorant people in the world can find so many reasons to judge and hate a person without even knowing it.
I read a post today that sparked this discussion. A girl was spewing out her prejudices against overweight people, and proudly boasted how she was mean to an overweight woman today. Do you think that's sick? I do.

We are also living longer and tend to put on weight as we get older. Finally, giving up smoking can also help pile on the pounds. The scientists from Yale, Cornell and Johns Hopkins said there was only 'circumstantial' evidence supporting poor diet and lack of exercise as the main causes of obesity. Eating trends in Britain would change dramatically if everyone followed official dietary advice, research shows.

thanks for the comment, being over-weight doesn't mean you over eat, or are lazy. Especially in women, there have been numerous studies done on how difficult it is for most women to loose weight.
