Do you care about global warming? Do you think the politicians care about it as much as you do?

Even if they don't care, it doesn't stop it from happening and you will not be spared from its devastating effects. So unless you join in the call of environmental organizations to cut off greenhouse gases emissions then your apathy will do nothing. It is not like your house will be destroyed such that you can conveniently move to another house. This time it is our planet we are talking about, and unfortunately for us we cannot move to another planet if Earth is doomed for all our insane doings. So even if you are not a politician, you yourself has his obligations to fulfill for your family, your country, and to humanity. At least respect the rights of others to live a peaceful and healthy life. Practice environment-friendly tips at home. Little as it may seem, it can make a difference, amplified more if a lot would do it.

Well said sir. I like your answer. At least by doing something I'll be too busy to listen to their lies. I don't know of any organizations to join, but I think this kind of course should be left to the hardcore activists. Thanks for the comments. :-)

If politicians don't care, I think that's more reason for us as ordinary citizens to care. Who else will care? I must confess though that I feel frustrated when government programs to address the global warming issue are just flashes in the pan. They don't last long enough to make an impact. I wish time will not come when it is too late to do something about it.

Bring on the End of The World! Whoo-hoo! Actually I wouldn't want it to go that far, but just far enough for us to have a politcian on a stick type roast off would be nice. Maybe there is hope in the goveronments going green. What do u think? Do green political parties have any clout in bringing about the changes needed?

I care about it quite a bit actually and have made a number of lifestyle changes as I have become more conscious. I recycle every single thing I can, I am careful what I buy in the store - considering packaging, I bought a smaller more environmentally friendly car, I use florescent bulbs (even though I hate the lighting) in 80 percent of my home, I turn my heat down to 68f. I don't think our politicians care one bit. Why should they? They make profits from global warming. How do you think GWB made all his millions?

Everyone should care about global warming. Considering it will affect the whole world, it is important. Politicians probably don't care as much as they should, but for example Al Gore has been really vocal lately about the subject. I haven't seen The Inconvenient Truth, but I've heard that its a great movie on the subject.

I wish more people care too. Thanks for the suggestion of the movie The Inconvenient Truth, I'll also look into viewing it as well. If everyone plays their part in caring for the earth, our children are assured a place to play and live in the future. Thanks for responding :-)
