I am looking for a pair of really comfortable shoes for work. I am a Registered Nurse and I usually wear nike shox but I was wondering if anyone has any other suggestions. I am buying a new pair of work shoes in the next few weeks. I dont want to wear the traditional "white nurse shoes" I have always worn tennis shoes. I would appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thanks!

I wear mostly dress shoes, but I have gel inserts so I feel no discomfort when wearing them.

for me, it's a sandal.but for you, it's not polite to wear. So,leather shoes is the best choice, such as ToD's.

Hello fellow nurse! Good for you to go for comfort rather than style! I know you said you weren't interested in traditional white nursing shoes, I normally am not interested in those either. However, I did try a pair of Quarks (I got the one you just slip your foot in,and there is a little 1/2 inch high thing in teh back that hugs the heel into the shoe) and they are seriously the most comfortable, light-weight shoe I have ever worn! They probably don't weigh a full pound together! As for tennis shoe variety, I swear by Brooks. I have narrow heels and other tennis shoes don't fit me as well. I got fitted with a pair of Brooks last year and WOW!...no comparison to Nike or any of the others! They have such good padding and arch support. I will never get a tennis shoe again that isn't a Brooks! Best of luck to you!
