Does Mike Shinoda speak japanese?

Mike shinoda is a yonsei, right? That means he is a part of the fourth generation of Shinodas with the pure japanese blood, i think. so i am wondering if he can speak japanese? in the LP albums, posters, videos, artworks and even sites, there are a lot of japanese influences (japanese writing characters, art, etc.)what do you think?

I believe he is 3rd generation, and he is half Japanese(mother is not Japanese or of Japanese decent). In Japan he would not be considered "pure japanese" because he and his family where not born in raised in Japan(even Japanese citizens that live in a foreign country for most of their lives would not be considered Japanese). I saw him read some Japanese but it's pretty bad(he has a atrocious accent and he was reading the phonetics and not actual Japanese). I don't think he can have a normal conversation in Japanese, most ethnic Japanese, especially after the 2 generation, can not speak a word of Japanese.
