i have a 91 honda accord that is having transmission problem and i need advice on how to fix it, i can manually shift it from 2nd to 3rd but i cant get 1st or overdrive. The sport lite is flashing on the dash to

Sounds like the problem I had with a 1937 Plymouth back in around 1950 when my boyfriend stripped second and reverse gears. My Dad insisted (since I'd used and loaned the car without permission) that I help him remove and tear down the transmission, replace the gear, and put it back in. I'm afraid you have a big job ahead of you if you're up to tackling it, or a big repair bill.
