But I wonder why we have questions about the 18 years (that is between 12 years and 30 years), and why do we not have question about the 12 years (thats is between 0 years and 12 years) Below is just a refresher: I am sure as you read on, you will have a clearer picture of what you want to know... After Jesus Christ was born, a week later, baby Jesus was brought to be circumcised and given the name Jesus, and Joseph and Mary took baby Jesus to present him to the Lord, in the temple there was a good and devout man name Simeon, whom the Holy Spirit had promised would not die until he has seen the Christ. After completing all the duties according to the law of moses, Joseph and Mary together with baby Jesus left Jerusalem and went to Nazareth. (After this there is no mention about Jesus in the Bible) When Jesus was 12 years old, Joseph and Mary took him for a Passover feast, but when they started back home thinking that the boy was with them, Jesus stayed behind. Joseph and Mary started looking for Jesus when they realized that he was missing and on the third day found him in the temple sitting with the teachers of law, all were amazed with his talks. When Joseph and Mary found him and questioned him "Why have you done this to us", then Jesus answered "Don't you know I must be about my father's work?" He returned back to Nazareth... and then began to grow in wisdom and Stature... (No mention about Jesus during this period) At the age of 30, Jesus began his public ministry...
