Learning a new language?

There are many diverse languages on here, and I‘m sure most people aren‘t native speakers of English. I am, though I’ve always been interested in learning another.
I’m considering Spanish or French, or any other suggestions?
What’s the best way to learn any language and become fluent within it? How did you?

The language I am suggesting is not a spoken language. I am speaking of learning ASL, or American Sign Language. It is easy to learn, a little more difficult to interpret, but imagine how deaf or hearing impaired people feel. Not many people know sign language, and they are always excited to meet someone who does. I learned sign language when I was 12, and I have had to use it in my job before. I once worked with a hearing impaired guy, and he had gotten into trouble at work. They called me back to the office to interpret for him. It made me feel so good that I was helping someone, whether others view it as that or not.

Yes I agree that french would be a good language for you to learn to speak since its spoken in a lot of differnt places. The only way to master a language and to speak it fluently is to keep practicing. Good luck with learning french
