Ok this is really quite a stupid question though one stupid has to take the initiative and ask this questions.I woke up this morning my sister ask me how I want my eggs done, well usually I like the sunny side up...I love my yolk pretty firm, but this morning I told her I want a scramble.I don't know it just pops into my head and I ask her...how do chickens sit on their egg without really breaking it? She look at me and then just ignore me...she's probably thinking that I'm still half a sleep and I don't really mean my questions...but i really mean it. How do they do that, I mean are the shells hard enough to carry the hen's weight? Or do they really sit on it or they just squat? I mean if they squat, that would be tiring so this chickens really take efforts to lay their little egss so sooner or later their little chick would come out...so why am I eating this egg in the firts place? I mean this egg is somebody's chick...ok me and my head just worst things up now I was kind of feeling guilty of eating that egg, then again I didn't ate anything last night so...down the scramble into my stomach...

Eggs are actually toughr than you think! I used to live on a farm and have chickens! lots of them and what they do is sit on the eggs and when they sit they ruffle their feathers allowing little spaces between the eggs and the hay or bedding. this acts like a cusion to the eggs and also keeps them warm! But chickens will leave the eggs alot too!~ I used to carry eggs oin the house and if you dropped of out of your pocket the shape of the egg prevents them from breaking! They will break everytime in the house though!

the hen wll not sit fully on the eggs and it gives the warm to the egg to come from that egg.. so it will not affect the eggs..
