Why Genius are mostly Schizophrenics?

There is a fine line between genius and madness. Geniuses like Painter Van Gogh & author Jack Kerouac displayed self-destructive behaviour. Why Genius shows signs of madness? Scientisht says it is all due to particular gene know as DARPP-32 which links genius with madness.

I don't know...I'm schizophrenic, and I'm almost a genius, I guess. My IQ is 132, probably higher...I guess I'm pretty eccentric, but I'm not really self-destructive...I like punching holes in my ears and sticking earrings in them, but for the most part...
