i would like to say thank for the people who are not open minded with the answers they got with their questions and all the outcast who vandalize their answers just to get one cent.
i thank you for making my 9star to an 8star. there are people like this in the real world , if they do not like what they want to hear , they just simply bash your reputation.as far as i know i have answered all of the questions as accordance to how i see it and nothing more , if ever i have said otherwise , it does not mean i do not like your question, if i do not like the question at hand , i pass it off.i know i gave my one and only negative rating to this member who sarcastically responded to my post, as if wanting to have a debate on the issue.an obvious juvenile delinquent, i won't mention him here because i respect him.i just want let this out. now, i won't count my reputation stars anymore because it is so irritating to mind your reputation, i will say what i want.

I don't think you should ever worry about saying what you have to say. It is really to bad that some people are immature enough to rate you negative just because they disagree with your post. Some people need to learn to be just a tad bit more open minded, and if they can't learn this, then the least they can do is avoid the topic and move on to another one.

i am not worried about it. if i could only type in their names so that everyone would know who these vandals are but i won't. i will only be placing myself in their lowlife and if ever i would do that, they would only keep on ravaging my reputation to the ground and drag the forum down.this happened to another forum, in a matter of one month the forums popularity went went good to worst because of the greedy-ness of the members.anyway, thank you for the support.made me feel good.

It seems like they got you too. If a discussion does not appeal to me, i pass it on by. i do not stop and insult the person that started it. If i disagree with what they have posted, i will disagree with them, but always in a respectful manner. It's too bad others are not held to the same standards that we hold ourselves to.

I had the same happen to me! I had a couple people on my disscussion who did not like what I was saying and my 8 went to a 5 NICE Thank as well whoever you were!

People are not supossed to rank you negatively for disagreeing with your post or response. The only way that you are supossed to get negative ratings are for inappropriate or "illegal" posts. (posts that break myLot rules). I'm sorry people arn't rating you according to the rules. Just keep working hard at giving quality posts and responses and your rating will go back up. :)

yeah ,now i am aware of it . how could these people be so feeble minded, well, i guess it's their upbringing and their environment. i just hope all the flybrains would just fly off to where they belong , it also deminishes mylot's reputation.thanks.

hello tigerdragon! and welcome to the real world of mylot.
there really are nice and helpful people in this community. but expect that there are those who are people, too who will try nothing more but to take us down.
for my 6 months of stay here in mylot, i met one last month. she hurt me with a very bad response to my discussion. and honestly, her point was so far outside the topic. she just wanted to mention that line because she wanted to hurt me (that's so obvious). but i still never rated her with a negative. i just commented back to her response telling her how much she has hurt me. what more? she replied that there's nothing really for her to apologize.
i won't mention her name, too since i have respect for her still even if she did that to me.
i know that this site is a place where we can be free to say what we wanna say. but i hope people practice RESPONSIBLE freedom, too.

All you can do is speak your mind. There will always be others who disagree, but so what. You can't give up your feelings and beleifs to please others. It is simply impossible to please everyone. Pay no attention to the ratings. They are too easily manipulated and are useless because of this.

i am not really affected by the ones who disagree , i like that even because it give a broader spectrum of what has been handed down for discussion. it is the people who lacks the understanding of having an open mind and what is disappointing is that most of these people are educated.they do not know how to use the rating system, they assume if that if someone answers something that is not agreeable to them they rate them negative.thanks for the support.

As you can see, my star has taken quite a beating lately. They will have their spiteful revenge i suppose. It seems small-mindedsness is prevalent on mylot. i stayed off of here for a few days simply because i could not stomach some of the things they said. There is enough negativity in this world without adding bullies on a site that promises intelligent, thought provoking discussions. Abuse is abuse and it's a shame that mylot cannot, or is it will not, stop them. i do try to keep an eye on people's stars so that if they have taken a beating, i can help out in some small way by hitting the plus on every response they have made. This time is no different for me.. may your star go back up soon.

thank you for the response,everyone in my book since i started gets a positive mark for the simple reason that they have acknowledged my posts whether it's a pro or a con answer just as long as they are not abusive.like i said ,there was just this one member who is trying to provoke me into a non-sense debate concerning my post, implying that it is a pick up line for me to get women.anyways,it seems that a lot of friends are supportive to each other and i thank you.
