Do you leave the top off the toothpaste?

Let's see how many myloters have this extremely annoying habit. Do you carefully replace the cap or do you leave it to chance whether the stuff sets solid or drools out all over the sill? Of do you have the marginally less annoying habit of screwing the cap on so tight it takes a muscleman to get it off again?

I always make sure that the Top is on, I absolutely hate it when People leave the top of. I know years ago one of the Kids left it of and what made it worse they dropped the thing on the Floor and never picked it up. Well you can imagine what happened when I went in the Bathroom and stood on it. I mean they where only little but I forget the Amount of times I told my lovely Devils to put the top back on. Eventually they learned.

Well, I have been lucky so far! I have not YET trodden on a tube of uncapped toothpaste, but you know how lucky I am, so I don't expect I have lost the chance.

I always put the top on the toothpaste. And so does my husband.

Wow! That is quite unusual apparently. Usually one does and the other doesn't, leading to conflict as one gets fed up with replacing the cap and the other gets fed up with trying to prise the cap off again lol.

lol poor old Shrek :-) Yes, it is unhygienic and I hate it when I nip in to quickly brush my teeth and have to sort out the first gunky bit - I never use that so that bit gets wasted. I guessed some people would hate it every bit as much as I do, which is why I started this discussion. So far I am right lol.

Wow! Now THAT is tidy and organised, you are the first one to say that. I count myself lucky if I can FIND the toothpaste some days when it is mayhem here!
Well done you, I am very envious.

Oh lol. Just like here! Only the flip tops get busted off very quickly too. We usually have the screw on caps and I have to remember to be last in the bathroom to make sure the wretched cap is put back.

And knowing our luck everything would! Not a very nice thought at all, is it. However, a dedicated toothpaste de lidder will make short work of the flip caps. Trust me, I know this!

Thank you for that. At least you never have toothache these days, which is a reason to be cheerful.
People who do not have to clear up the spilt toothpaste are the ones who leave the caps off!

Well, I suppose when you are really tired it is not a priority, I can understand that. I just really dislike finding a gunk of dried up toothpaste over the nozzle where the cap should be.

ewwwwwwwwwwww creepy crawies! I agree I wouldn't want them near anything of mine either. I don't think it would make any difference to the rest of the household though, sigh!

Oh yes, gross indeed! I don't find the flip caps very durable. Maybe my partner is very strong but they usually end up snapped and then the cap has even less chance of being replaced, but thank you that is an interesting point.

No, I don't have that habit. I have my toothpaste in a drawer and always replace the cap (not tightly).
We all have our own tube. My husband has his bathroom and I have mine where we brush. I share the bathroom with my youngest son and he has his own tube, and we all put the cap back on the tube.

Well, luxury! More than one bathroom, that is sooooooooo cool!
However, knowing my luck more bathrooms would mean more caps off tubes.
You ar very lucky!
