I've read that anything you publish with your name on it is automatically copyrighted. You can put a notice on your blog or individual posts. But people are going to steal anything they want, and unless you're a professional writer and can keep track of where your material is, and be willing to sue, there's not much you can do about it. It's a big problem on the net and no one has figured out a way to stop it.

This is probably a "crazy" thought, but it just came to me now. I wonder if you can put some "physical" sign that the work is yours, (and even though this goes against my absolute best judgment!!!) misspell something (on purpose!!) Because a lot of times you can detect if something is "cut and paste" or maybe put in a sentence somewhere totally irrelevent to the piece you are writing.
Oh, I can hardly bear the thought of this because it goes against everything I've learned about English and good writing . . . but . . . maybe it's worth a try???
Please forgive me if this idea's too crazy!!
Have a wonderful day! ;)

There is a copyright law which includes works in the internet. The author is automatically the copyright owner and protected by law. But this is really a problem. Even if for example, I am the author and the copyright owner of the books I publish, and somebody buys a copy and reproduces it for the market, I don't have the means to know, or even if I have the means to know, I don't have the means to prosecute the plagiarist. This happens also to videos, etc. and so there are so many pirated. Authors are really a pity. But we have to have ways to lessen this. As for me, I just let that go if somebody would reproduce and circulate my books. I am an author and translator of the Word of God from Greek to English.
I have already published THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English), GENESIS & EXODUS (Greek to English), ELEMENTS of SALVATION, The Right Way, GOD, ORIGIN, TRANSFER into PERFECTION, GREEK-ENGLISH (Grammar & Vocabulary), WORDS in THE WILL New Testament, and others shown at http://www.lulu.com/arseniajoaquin
