In a world of ' I wants ' , 'I must haves', are there areas in your life that you are contented about? Do you think feeling content is short lived? What are your views?

I feel that no matter how bad my life may get I will always feel content so long as I have my dog Panda, he's the only family and the only friend I have left and I know he won't live forever but my memories of him will and I will remain content

Good to know the panda holds a very special place in your life. I have great memories of my dogs - one is a japanese spitz and the other is a silky terrier.
I hope that when you walk your dog in the park, you have opportunity to meet other dog lovers too and new friendship can begin.

I must admit that I'm not sure that I am content with myself and surroundings. I know what I want to make my life 'PERFECT' as you can say. I would Love to marry Jay (my fiancee'), buy a nice home have 1 more child and we BOTH have substanial jobs and are well off (not rich, but not below "sea level" either) and last but not least, to get my family closer to God!!!

I agree with you, life shouldnt be so tough that one would want to give up nor should it be too well off that one may forget it's humble beginings.

I feel content now, I have a wonderful husband and daughter, a beautiful home, and great friends, what else is there.

It's nice to learn that you are surrounded by people, places whom you can feel right at home and be contented.

Feeling content is how I feel most of the time even though there are worries which are getting in the way once in a while :)

Knowing that God loves me unconditionally. Being content is short lived when we depend on the things of this world to make us happy contend.

I dont think its human nature to be fully contented. We always are in need of something. One can only be happy if he is contented with what ever he has not thinking about whatever he doesnt have. That is a small trick I do on myself. Hence I am a happy person.

man, by nature, has no satisfaction --- so it's been said. but, if everyday, we take a moment to count our own blessings, and thank god for each one of them, we'll find peace in our hearts.
