who on earth can watch golf??? do you like it???

I have a high school acquaintance who gave up college to play "professional golf." He's good but he sucked whenever he was pitted against me, and I'm a triple degree holder with a doctorate. When me and my friends visited his place he would always have his tv set on golf. He'd try to explain to me the fundamentals of it. Hey, I don't need it, I was never beaten by you! I'm not yet "pro" and yet I've won and earned more in golf than he ever did. Besides that, I hate it when they feature the tutorials and golf lessons. I just find it stupid how they try to make golf so scientific. It's the lamest game I've ever played, honestly! There's really no science involved when you play golf. Just get the feel of the club. Hit a few shots on the course to see how strong and far you can get per club and that's it. My "pro" acquaintance thought I was taught professionally by my university because when we were in high school he was the champ of golf and I never participated in it so he was quite surprised that I outranked him. I just started playing professionally because a senior member of the golf course saw me swing, I just wanted to try it a few times then quit.

Yes man this game is too boring to watch it on TV, but on the other side the players who win earn a lot of money. And we all know that whatever we do is to earn money. Though the players seems to have a lot of interest in the game like Tiger woods but I really think that either they play it to earn money or because they have lots of patience..........

well, I totally disagree. ofcourse it is boring, that is because you have never played and don,t know jackshi** about the game. I am not going to explain why players do the things they do as you said, because you have already decided you hate golf. ANd I really don,t care. I just feel sorry for people like you who judges things that you don,t understand and know have information about. That is like I would say who would care about driving a car. You just sit there, and then you drive. Who does this? over and over? LOL!! but since I know why and I know enouhh about it, I wouldn,t say this. If it bores you, atch something else. Don,t give things critizims before you tried it and learned a thing or to about it. Just an advice for you my friend. Take it easy, and for god sakes, don,t watch golf again, I wouldn,t want you to die of boredom.....hehe

it depends to a person.. tha't's there choice or maybe it's their habit enjoying watching such boring game like this. beside too expensive

I love the sport, it is not always fun to watch, but I do like to go out and play with my son and my friends.

I love playing golf, and until you actually pick up the sport and know the challenge and difficulty of it, it would seem to be boring. Imagine every shot you have to make it different. So many factors to consider. Mind you I have probably at least tried most of the sports there is. But as to watching golf, NOW thats a bit boring for me. I rather play than watch. The only golf I watch are the Opens and thats only on the last hour just to see who will win

Golf may not be the best thing on TV to watch, but it is definitely not the worst. Golf can be exciting, especially when two guys continue to go back and forth on their way through the tournament. Golf is great fun, and a thrill for many to watch and play.

oh man!!!! this game really is a hell. but it is also supposed to be the means of good money.albeit it is a boring game it gets interesting if you really are interested in all those boring calculations of every degree and angle. man!! this game is really meant for intelligent people.

A very simple answer would be those who like the sport!! So anyone who likes it and playes it and tries to learn by watching it would do it.
