sibling rivalry

well this happened with a friend of mine, she had a 4 year old daughter and now she recently had a son.when they brought their new baby home,their daughter started feeling insecure.she was toilet trained ,but she started wetting the bed .also she started throwing tantrums.she would not come near the new baby and would try to hit him whenever possible.what should her parents do to make her accept her new sibling?

hey doctor, this thing is found very common in sibling,well and in every family they deal with their own way to make elder child comfortable and making them to accept their younger one as part of family,well when family encounters this kind of situation, i think parents should talk with elder child with love and same care equally as well should always avoid the situation which may make them to feel insecure, only that part works bad, if this can be avoided, all can work fine.

at first she cant understand the situation very well,she will feel insecure to her self because the attentions before are all in her.soon she will accept it and she will be happy.the parents must explain well
