Anne of Green Gables
It's pretty much the only book I have ever read but I must say I absolutley love it. It is set back in Canada during like I guess the 1800s or something. It's about an orphan who accidentally gets adopted by an elderly couple who wanted a boy, but they ended up with Anne instead. I love this story so much because Anne has this amazing imagination and shes such a clever person. Reading it makes me want to be a better person, and it motivates me to do much more than I ever have. Anne is such an amazing person and her life is so ironic, funny and has many tragedies in it. If you don't like older types of books I wouldn't recommend it.
You can also watch the Anne of Green Gables, first two books, on youtube:
