Do you ever just have one of those days? You know, a bad hair day, your boss is on your case or a nasty fight with a famiy member. Whatever the reason, you're just in a nasty mood and can't seem to shake it. What are some things that you do to lift your spirits and help you cope with the problem?

Music always makes me feel better too and it doesn't really make a difference to me what kind it is. Thanks.

I remember, that no matter how things are, they only get worst if you dwell on them. There is ALWAYS something possitive to focus on. For me it's my children. Their smiles are enough to get anyone through the day.

Oh, what a wonderful place to focus your attention. Children are usually optimistic and their smiles deplict unexpressed joy. Thank you for sharing.

It's not always about you. Maybe the person you think slighted you has had a bad day, or heaven forbid, maybe the person just isn't nice. You can turn the situation around by asking some general, interesting questions about the person. Quit taking everything so personally. Accept the fact that some people just aren't socially adept, and they may have even less self-confidence than you do. Don't let someone else spoil your day. Do you think you're the only one out there who gets rejected? Think again! There are selfish people who only think "me, me, me" to the exclusion of everyone else. Don't give up. The old saying, "if at first you don't succeed, try again" holds true for the person with no self-confidence. If things don't go your way, come up with an alternate plan.

While not all situations are personal or even spurred on by us, we all have to deal with unpleasant situations in our lives at some point. It may be personal or it may be another's battles that have effected our mood. Either way we, as individuals, need ways that we can shake these negative feelings and carry on our day, rather than sharing the misery with those we come into contact with. I believe it is always beneficial to gain new perspective from others.
