Scousers and Mancs share almost everything in common, and in fact are the so similar, the irony of the hatred is staggering.
Lancashire / Merseyside created the Industrial Revolution.
Closer to recent time, the cultural significance of the north west is again intertwined. The Merseybeat of the 60's - The Beatles, Gerry and The Pacemakers etc - right through to the Manchester sounds of the 80's / 90/s - The Smiths, Joy Division, New Order, The Stone Roses, Inspiral Carpets, Charlatans - and the Liverpool bands of the time - The La's, The Farm, Caste.
Both areas have suffered terrible deprivation, the riots in Liverpool, the decimation of both cities with the poll tax etc, terrible housing projects that destroyed huge parts of both cities, in particular Hulme in Manchester.
In spite of all this, both of these sworn enemies also share so many undeniably similar traits.
Very funny wit and sense of hunmour, an ability to mock their own in a totally caustic yet humourous way, craftiness and the ability to live on your wits, street wise life skills, and an innate ability to always see the good in people.
That's before we touch on the most commonly shared passion - FOOTBALL!!
Both cities have poor neighbours, City and the Bluenoses, and both have earned their success through hard work and determination..... no serious United or Liverpool fan could ever deny the other's right to the success they have enjoyed. All has been earned on the field of battle. No sugar daddy's for these two teams..........
more recently, both the clubs have gone into american hands....
So, is the fierce and intense rivalry between the two cities borne out of the fact that, in essence, we are the both cut from the same cloth???

wat do u aspect to be the answer for such question being asked HERE. Haha. Must be M.U! M.U plays great football this season. almost seems unstoppable. Liverpool r quite shaky lately. For last few mathes they drop point, shortenig their gap with arsenal. M.U will surely take this advantage

Most people would expect Manchester united to win this match. However you can never rule liverpool out so it will be an interesting game. I think that it will quite close but Liverpool will scrape a draw.
