I have known some remarkable people in my lifetime. My father was one of them. He was raised on a farm with 9 sisters and 1 brother. He and his father built the house they lived in (still standing and lived in) when he was 9 or 10 years old. Out of necessity he dropped out of school in the 6th grade to work beside his father on their farm. After growing up he started and ran a very successful welding business for over 40 years. In his 40's he studied for his GED and proudly recieved it. He was never afraid to venture into anything new. If it was something he didn't know about he visited the local library and gathered all the information he would ever need. If ever there was something I didn't know or understand he would challenge me to find out on my own and then come back with my questions. And, I knew, by the time I did, he would have an immense knowledge on the subject from his own studies. Now that he has finally reitired (again) he has moved back to his old homeplace to live the life he left behind in his younger days and continues to increase his knowledge and fulfill his dreams.
