okay so sorry I had not post anything new or answered half of the responses in the past few days, but I have been so extremely busy and plan on getting so more post out soon. I bought a brand new detector, which makes #3 now, lmao. This machine is a very deep relic hunter and took me days to figure this one out, still having problems with it, so hopefully I will have it running smoothly soon. This is definatley not for the begginer. Took it for a test spin and found me some custom junk jewelry so far, but I'm finally glad this is starting to work good for me and starting to learn it better! The only problem I see with this machine, Is I keep digging the tiny pieces of foil two feet deep! rotflmao. But that is not a bad thing, cause if you are not finding the foil, you will not find the gold! hoping to find some more good stuff to post on here soon as I learn it better! krissy

I think you also need a magnet of the ability to lift at least 10 lbs for your hunting. It would be good to search holes and underwater with.

well thanks! It is fun, I love it so much, it's almost like being a historian, archeologist, or like a pirate searching for me booty! :) And the detectors I have the nautilus is only for land the box can't get wet. So I also have my fisher aquanaut for underwater, I can dive 200ft with it....and one day when I know my asthma will be under control again and I can get the green light to dive, I will be taking scubba lessons and looking for bigger treasures....so this is why I kept my underwater detector, I can do water hunting! :) krissy

I believe I was not meant to die! :) Well God was with me and I wouldn't be here today if it was not for the help I got. A week before this happened, I seen on the news what you should do if you ever got caught in a rip current. That news program saved my life! :) I didn't know what one was, but for some reason that It was meant to catch my attention, and when I was starting to go under I remember thinking what to do, so I started floating on my back, I have always been a good floater and floating in salt water is easier, cause it's denser. I floated alot, so I could rest in between waves. that was my main thing conserving energy. I don't think I will ever go back into the ocean again, I don't ever want to have to do that again. krissy

I always have a good attitude and hey If I don't find anything that day, then I still am happy to get to spend the day at the beach! :)I grew up on the east coast florida beaches, that is like my second home! :) I don't like the salt water, I don't like going swimming, cause makes you feel sticky, yuck. when I was a kid, I used to love it so much! :) I was forever in the water, but once, I got caught in a rip current off of cape canveral beach about the age of 13, nobody came to save me and there were lifegaurds, but nobody seen me it sucked me so far out. I got sucked out deep into the ocean and got too tired to swim. Something popped into my head and told me krissy float on you back till you as get your strength back and then swim parralell to the shoreline and let the waves wash you in. so that is what I did. I floated on my back and waited for the waves to come, before they got to me, I would take a deep breathe and cover my mouth and nose and stiffened my body like a board and I finally got to shore and then collasped on the ground I was washed 1 mile down the beach scared the crap out of me so bad, I have never went to swim in the ocean again. krissy

We have a chap comes every year to use his metal detector out on the Fenland farm fields next to my home (East Anglia, UK) .. he's found some really interesting things .. mainly thrown up by the plough .. I bet he'd love a deep finder thingy ... I'd love to know what is out there .. Every week I watch a programme called Time Team .. where a team of archaeologists try to find clues to who lived on various sites here in the UK .. all the fun of watching .. but no sore knees, rain or cold to contend with .. and more experts than you could fit round a pub table to explain the finds ...

That's ok I wondered what happened to you but then again I have had a lot going on as well. Oh this new detector that you have must be indeed a very complicated detector until you get used to it. Yes and at least you are finding something and getting the hold of this new detector, and if you can foil then hopefully it will not be long before you find the gold.

yea, going to be a extremley busy person soon, spring is on it's way and soon summer, will time to hit the springs to do some water hunting. People has been swimming in these springs like forever. there are a few that are not state property, so I want to test the waters! :) The springs are uaually safe from alligators here in florida, cause the water is crystal clear in fact they use florida springs to bottle water, of course they filter it. It's the springs that clog up and stop running, eventually they become contaminated the alligators swim in them cause you they like to hide, they can't hide in clear springs. I plan on getting detector #4 soon, it's called the Aurora micro pulse detector and it's very small wrist mounted detector, you strap it to your wrist while you are swimming around. perfect for snorkeling, old swimming holes. :) krissy

Are you talking a metal detector. If so, keep on trying. YOu can find a mint using one of those things. Try going to places where alot of people go. Like a city park, beach, or school ground when school is not in session.
