Hi! This is what can happen if you don't name your cat. My parents adopted a cat at the shelter where I live, then took it to their home out of state. They called the vet immediately for an appointment for her, but they hadn't named her yet. When the reminder card for the appointment arrived in the mail, it was address to the "poor little no name kitty." LOL :-)

My ex named my cat Luna. I'm pretty sure he named her after Sailor Moon but I prefer to think she is named for the moon.

Well, the 2 that I just had to put down were Jenny and Whalen. They got their names because when I adopted them, the male wailed the whole way home, so I named him Whalen and his sister Jenny as in Whalen Jennings. My oldest cat now is named BC because when my husband brought her home I was 9 months pregnant, 2 kids already, had 3 cats, a dog, an iguana, a sun conure. So he brings her home and she realy is just adorable. He was bugging me for days to name her, so finally I came up with BC - BOBS CAT! (MY husband obviously is Bob!)

Well you see when my husband got this little kitten and all, at first we didn't know what to call him so not for long we named our cat MR.Gray because our cat is all gray, some times my husband calls him grayford why i don't know.Mider gray is what i call him some times, just playing thats all but i really call him mr.gray and i take care of him too, i give him the car food and i do clean the liderbox every so often too.but some times our cat sleeps with us too, he has his own little pillow that he sleeps on too.

Hi! I got my cat when he was a tiny little kitten. He looks just like Sylvester the cartoon cat except that his nose is black instead of red, so I named him Sylvester. I call him "Silly" for short. It really fits him! :-)

We got 2 cats that are sisters and we got them at the same time. We wanted to give them names that went together. We tried Lucy and Ethel but that didn't sound right or fit their personality. Neither did Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, etc. We finally decided on Barnes and Noble since everyone in our family likes to go to Barnes and Noble to shop for books. And the names stuck. Now that the cats are 9 months old, I think that we should have named Barnes, Curious George since she likes to snoop into everything.

She's called Angel I was nine years old when I named her and I simply just liked the name. I later added the middle name "Rose" because of her pink skin. However, we NEVER call her by her real name. A ton of nicknames have evolved over the years. Around the time we got her I checked a book out at the library about a cat named Minou, so my dad started calling her Minou after that, then it evolved into "Minouser," and now "Newser" - which is pretty much what she is called now. Of course, my mother has all kind of "cutesy" nicknames for her - about the same kind of stuff you'd say to a newborn baby basically. She's spoiled like that. =) She will still look up sometimes when you say "Angel" though.

We were able to see my cat be born. Her mother belonged to my mother-in-law... And she had a litter of five they were all short hair cats, with the exception of one (mine). While all the others had little spikey haircuts mine had her hair all slicked back, since her long hair laid back naturally....So we started calling her "Slick". One of the others made it to our house as well, she was grey with a perfect white ring around her neck, like a necklace, so we named her "Cleo"(Cleopatra).

My fiance named our first cat Loki after the Norse god of mischief. The name definately fits him! Our other cat is named Beaux because that is the name the shelter gave him and we liked it so we kept it.

My girls name our cats. My daughter named one Kitteh. Which is my book is simply kitty spelled differently. She insists that I need to add an accent to the name. LOL The new kitty we just adopted hasn't been officially named yet because everyone is disagreement.
