Common Sense is not very Common !!!

LOL.... I know EXACTLY what you are talikng about! I work with someone like that. If you ask a question... you get a longwinded response that never addresses your question! It drives me nuts!

Somebody must have told you before that common sense is among the most uncommon one of all. One may be learned in school, making good grades and whatever else but, he never got any smarter. Common sense is not something we gather by attending schools, it is a gift which come with us from birth. If you encounter one who didn't get your question right, it would be good that you repeat it plus a little explaining as to what you are driving at.

i think i know what you're talking about and i totally agree. comon sense in some people...man its just not there. i remember a saying i heard from when i was young, the smarter you are, the less common sense you had. and since i felt i was pretty stupid, i thought i had a lot of common sense....but of course i don't really think that statment is all true...maybe in some, but not all. some people just don't know how to answer some questions and just put jack on there.

we can't judge things or people hastily. first off, everything is relative. what may be "common" knowledge to you, may not be "common" for others. and what may be common for them may not be common for you. two, what is common sense anyway? no one has ever defined it clearly as to create a reasonable ground for its usage.

I've said the exact same thing on a blog I did on another site. I think its partially caused by over specialization. Many people develop skills in one area, beyond that their incompetent.

I have a friend who don't know what to say at what time but it really makes us laugh. I think he does that intentionally to make us laugh.
