How Would You React If Your Boss Farted?

You are talking to your boss and suddenly you smell something odd. You want to cover your nose, but you don't want to offend him. You wanted to go out of the room, but you can't because he is still giving instructions to you. What would you do? What would you say? What excuse are you going to make up just to breathe properly outside?
What I did, I endured that whole episode without saying a word. My boss asked me why I was sweating and I could not tell him that I was controlling my breath so that I won't smell it. Would you do the same to be polite? Or would you say right infront of his face that he farted and it's vicious?

I'd say you did the right thing. Embarassing your boss can be lethal for your career. Nasty as it embarassing your boss and having to deal with the discomfort of that everyday, as opposed to the temporary discomfort of dealing with that one particular episode would be much worse.

Yes! For the sake of our careers we have to endure all sorts of things. My friends would literally roll on the floor laughing when I tell that story. After our discussion, I failed to mention that I gulped a paracetamol to ease me out of the headache caused by temporary oxygen deprivation!
