I have long hated pimples spurting out of nowhere. When I lack sleep, I notice that they just appear when I wake up. I usually have this unusual sleeping pattern that I could not avoid to have some pimples occasionally.
For me, I just apply this clindamycin astringent and wash my face with this glyceride soap. I also have known that hair gels make your skin grow more pimples. When I was still applying gels, my pimples were horrendous, that's why I stopped. What can you suggest about having a pimple-free face?

A good cleanser to use is Ionax scrub (manufactured by Galderma) although as the name says, it is a scrub and might be too abrasive for everyday use. It's good in treating current pimples and preventing future ones--at least in my experience.
Differin (adapalene) is also good. i only use this as spot application and it doesn't dry the skin like most pimple treatments do. Neither does it make the pimple leave a black mark (benzoyl peroxide in my experience just leaves nasty marks).
Witch hazel toner is also good for oily skin (which is usually the most susceptible to acne) so I guess you could also try this out.
Goodluck and I hope I helped. :)

I keep pimples at bay by:
1. going monthly to a dermatologist to have my comedones extracted.
2. following a skin regimen (cleanse-tone-moisturize).
I cleanse my face with a mild facial cleanser like Dove. Tone it by using Humphrey's Witch Hazel or Toners that have clindamycin. Moisturize with Olay total effects or Olay moisture therapy lotion.

Yes, I forgot to mention, Clindamycin is also good. Or you could also try Erythromycin.
I also use Olay Total Effects and I love it, but I know a lot of people with oily skin who broke out or were allergic to this so maybe you could test it on a small area first before applying it on your whole face.
My aunt uses Shiseido's blemish gel and she says it works wonders for her--dries up the pimple without leaving marks, unlike Mario Badescu's, which, according to her, leaves dark marks.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know that. Even if I apply it externally?
