What is your take?
I understand that it's convienent but I also believe its pure laziness.
I don't see how waiting in your car for someone to run your food out to you is any different than just walking in and picking up your order yourself.
Enlighten me.

I love curbside. I'm disabled, so getting out and maneuvering my way inside is a pain in the a$$. That way I don't have to worry about accessibility, about being in people's way, and about the hassle it is for me to actually get out of the car. I try and minimize my getting in and out as much as possible, to save me the strain. And I hate getting out in parking lots because I'm always afraid I'm going to fall into/open my door into the car next to me.
So I am all in favor of curbside.

Your situation is differnt from most.
I can totally understand your feelings for finding curbside convienent.
I guess Im meaning to direct this question towards someone that could easily go inside without hassle.
An example would be maybe a 30 year old executive man... no babies, no disabilities, no reason to not want to get out and walk.... maybe he'd rather just wait in his car and chat on the phone... I'd wonder why he couldnt just walk in himself to get the food

Think about how much faster the line-up would go if all the able-bodied people were willing to get out of their cars!

i think that the restaurants that offer this like Sonic is just trying to make it like they had it in the old days. i personally dont like it because it's faster to just go to the drive thru window. i don't like eating in my car anyways. i'd rather have something to do like watch tv than sit in my car.

I agree.... sometimes I'll be in a hurry and actually WANT to use the drive through at Micky D's or somewhere. I think it will be faster but then as I sit and wait I see numerous people go in and make it back out WITH their food before I even move. Aaghh! That drives me insane.

It makes sense for people who are disabled and would have trouble getting from the car into the restaurant. But for anybody else, I agree, it's pure laziness.
It's also incredibly wasteful and dangerous to have so many cars idling in the parking lot.

The answers above are good reasons. I think they're just bringing back some nostalgia from 50's?. before me,lol
I think it's kinda neat idea but maybe they should offer outside service and drive-thru . It would be okay once in a while but I do like to get outa my car to eat.
