If you had so much money that it wasn't of any concern to you as to what you spent it on....what would be THE ONE most frivilous thing you would indulge in? There seems to be a craze going on of "painted cats". Each "painting" session costs $15k - 4 times a year. If you had an extra $60k per year and owned a cat, would you indulge in this?Imagine having that much money.....

I would indulge in hiring a maid to do my housework.......not the cooking though because I love to cook! :) No cat paintings for me. I would consider having paintings of my children done though.

That is a really difficult question for me to answer because by nature I am not a frivilous person. I think that I could not enjoy being frivilous with money when there are so many children in need of the basic necessities of life around me. I would have to do something frivilous for them. I would buy them clothes, give them food and pay for them to go to school and get an education.

I would never paint my animals. I would open shelter for dogs and cats instead.

I'm with you. If money was no issue, I would start an animal shelter on my property, and help pets find new homes. I'm not a fan of breeding, especially expensive exotic animals, as they usually come with their fair share of congenital diseases and defects. I'll fill my yard with mutts any day.

i say luxury of so much art is getting a watse - of money and everything, its too much
thats too much. and its not what i can say practical, come to think we cant ever bring it to our deaths... we dont need such luxury paintings just because of the fact its expensive so your gonna buy... what the use of it? too much spending is not good indeed... thats just wastage of something greater to be done in just small amounts are better of use than expensive one.. take care^_^

LOL NO way. My cat is perfect the way he is. I would build a community center for the youth in my community if I had the money. They have nothing to do in our neighborhood. Kids of all ages need some place that is safe to go and have good clean fun. A place where their is security to protect them from harm.

Eventhough presently money is not of concern, I will be constantly thinking of ways and means of making money. a moneyed man will never stop making money. If one doesnot work, the piled up money vanishes in no time.

really wonderful ful discussion . if the things are correct as u hav told , if money is not a criteria, and is available in plenty and it is not a concern and it is not an obstacle for my work , then i will LIKE TO SPENT THE SAME IN THE ACTIVITIES OF SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT . it is the real pleasure and peace, u need at all at all time . just spent the same in the activities of god and help the needy person . just see how peace and pleasure u are . try it with just a small expenditure of say rs. 50 or rs.100 for one day . u will get exteemely plenty of pleasure

I think if money was no concern that I would still be careful how I spent my money. I will indulge in buying things for my home and family.

That's a very strange craze. Why not buy a cat you liked the look of in the first place? Wierd. Anyway, i think i would buy a huge house to fill with all kinds of things.

Lego lab At M.I.T - If someone tells you that Lego's are just for kids, tell them that M.I.T. has one of the largest Lego Labs in the country!
I have no doubt, it would be to have a Lego center that rivals the one at M.I.T. Since the boys are huge fans of Lego (I am as well), it would be something that would be used all the time. I'm adding a picutre of one of the walls at the M.I.T lab so you'll know what I am talking about. When I saw this place my heart skipped a beat and I swore I was in Lego heaven!

I would indulge in travelling and investing. So the money I have make money. That's hwo rich people get there although some got it inherited. But travelling is for sure my biggest dream to do, visiting exotic places for example.

Not sure what I would buy. Perhaps a trip to the mall. Maybe a free for all at a flea market. Extra 60K could allow us to live and not work. That sounds frivolous. We already have 5 kitties, they would have plenty of catnip. You didn't mean to paint an actual cat did you?

Yes, strange as it may sound, painting an actual cat. I don't know what kind of paint is used, maybe it's a type of hair dye. I don't know...but all the pictures that I saw, there were some REALLY WEIRD ones.

well if I had an extra 60k per year I would NOT be spending it on getting my cats painted. Not unless I had an extra million a year would I do that. If I had an extra 60k I would spend it on my mortgage, paying it off in a few years or better still I would buy a bigger house. If I had to spend this 60k on purely frivilous things - maybe 10 k would go on visiting Sri Lanka and the Nicobar Islands. 15k would go on education - their are loads of courses on Reiki and massage I would like to do.

No I would not paint my cats. I was thinking something along the lines of a home spa. Tanning bed, infra red sauna, mud bath, nail tech , hair stylist, makeup artist and a personal masseuse/masseur and chef on staff at my beck and call.

Sasha and Wilby - Would my cats like to be painted?
Well I have 5 cats, and not sure I would want to have them painted! LOL! No, if I had loads of money, it probably isn't really frivolous, but I would open my home for stray, ill-treated, and unwanted animals. Not sure any of the cats there would be painted though!!

Something frivolous that I don't really need? It would have to be a Hummer. LOL That is something I would LOVE to have and won't ever get. I need a new car, but not anything that expensive. I sure wouldn't get my cat painted. LOL
