Try this remedy as it always work for me when my sin is dry.
1. Before going to bath lather any oil in your body. I use a baby oil, a virgin coconut oil or sometimes virgin olive oil. Let it stay on your skin for atleast 30 minutes
2. Proceed with your regular bath. Soap the oil away then rinse
3. After rinsing you will notice that your skin retained some of the oil you placed earlier. Just damp the towel on your body and then slather on your lotion. I like to use Jergens for extra dry skin.
Other remedy that i haven't tried but may be effective is:
Basic Honey Bath Recipe
2 tbsps honey
1 cup hot water
Procedure : Dissolve the honey in the hot water. Pour the mixture in your bath water.
Honey is a natural humectant. It means that it attracts and seals in moisture. www.goldenblossomhoney.com/beauty.html
O and do drink lots of water.

What about using Burt's Bees honey and buttermilk lotion. It can cure dry skin in a few days. I can vouch for that.

you can use the almond oil in slight quantity if you want a home made remedy , i say its the best and nourishes your skin plus it has the added benefits of like cleaning up the skin and even lightening any blemishes .

Try using Cetaphil Products or Aveeno. They are good. If ever, after bath and your skin is still damp, put vaseline on it...it helps a lot especially this cold weather.
