Who will win?

*spoiler* after seeing naruto's newly-improved rasengan, i'm pretty confident that naruto will win. he's still a bit of a dunce, but after encountering various strong opponents, he is slowly starting to smarten up.

*Spoilers ahead* Don't read if you have not read past Ch. 340 in the Manga. Depends on when the fight would take place. Shika vs. Naruto before the Sasuke retrival arc, 50-50 Shika's lazy and gives up too easily but he is exceptionally smart, and Naruto is too impulsive but makes up for it in stamina and determination. Shika vs. Naruto after the falied attempt to bring back Sasuke, definately Shika, because he has now learned that you can't just give up cause you think it's hopeless or "troublesome", his newfound determination combined with his genius makes him the stronger opponent, while Naruto continues to be too impulsive. Shika vs. Naruto after the time skip and after Naruto perfects his new jutsu, definately Naruto, hands down, no contest. Naruto is now more analytical, albeit still somewhat impulsive, but at this point, Shika will put up a good fight, but Naruto will prevail.

To be honest this is pretty hard to answer, but. If naruto manage to stay in a long fight against shikamaru, naruto will win cause naruto has the greatest stamina in the anime. exceed even kakashi or even the hokage. But, if shikamaru can manage to finish him off quickly, then the story going to be diffrent. But in my opinion, with naruto fighthing spirit, shikamaru would not be a ble to defeat him in a quick way.

though i like naruto and he sure is strong and adorable, i have to admit shikamaru is a genius. i still believec that shikamaru will win. ever since ive seen him in action, ive been a fan of him and he's pretty awesome
