Are there Mylot Bounty Hunters here ???

I wondered this too. I have reported two posters on this site because their discussions were blaten negativity. They were calling one race bad bad bad names. And recently my earnings went up 72 cents in the course of minutes. So I wondered the same thing. Now mind you, I don't consider myself a bounty hunter, just being a good little mylot citizen.

I think they are dividing it up with everyone. My earnings went up. Not alot but enough till I noticed it right away. I am glad they are trying to put a stop to the people who cheat. I found one person who when through my discussions and pasted the same comment. That is just not right.

I would hope they're sharing it between all the others, but according to quality of posts. That's the only fair thing to do, anyway. If your discussions are quality, informative and longer that three to five words, I think you should be paid more, because it's taken you more time to input a good response. Some people manage to put in about twenty conversations a day, most of which are not very clever. They do this to get responses because they get tired of posting their own, but then, never return to acknowledge the responses because they have more than they can cope with. This, I believe, is bounty hunting. A good discussion is worth a good response and a greater number of responses. I don't answer the short, uninformative ones any more. I turned one down just a moment ago, in fact. I guess it's difficult for Mylot to let you know what they're doing but today, again, my earnings have updated twice, so will they deduct it again later, also? Who knows?

In regards to this discussion I do not think that they are dividing the money with everyone as today I know some members that once again have lost money on here early this morning. I am not sure who they are giving the money to but I hope that they sort this problem out very soon and make this site a wonderful site again.

The thought of mylot bounty hunters is kind of funny. I wouldn't put it past people if they knew they could receive money for turning people in. That's a scary thought...reminds me of 1984 for some reason. I've never seen a bad post yet, so I'm not sure if money goes up when you turn in somebody that gets banned. I would think they would just lose the money. If mylots actually gives it back to the community that would surprise me.

Well sheesh. I got here made a thoughtful remark and didn't realize i wasn't logged in and lost the whole thing. So lets see if i can do this again. I hadn't heard about any of this due to a family crisis which has kept me away from the computer. But just by I will put my 2 cents in by using the context of your comment. It should be divided equally or put in a pool for a contest or something. To award one person with the purse of the person they turned in would only cause the greed and meanness to come out of people. Sadly most people will take what they can get free and do more work trying to get something free then they will put into working for pay. Also this would cause people who didn't like one another to be ready to jump the back of anyone they didn't like and try to get them banned just out of spite. So even though I didn't know it was going on. I still have a position on this as a whole. (i type like i talk way too much. Sorry for being so verbose)

Yes. There are too many of them. There are also these members that, in order to hurt the old and prominant members, they are giving - to discussions and they are aiming to decrease the ratings.

I don't know what is going on with the earnings. You can say star rating is not in our hand, but after maintaining star rating also my earning has drpped twice. Today it has dropped again. I don't think I am doing something wrong. I always make relevant comment and with atleast three line. And I don't see any discussion deleted where I responded. So, why my earning has dropped again!

There are coresponding cost for maintenance, so we get a more updated and better site. I would rather that they put the funds there. Then i beleive the rest may be divided with every one.

Yes I do think there are Mylot Bounty Hunters. I'm grateful for them, well some of them. There are those that report to mylot including myself, posts that are against the guidelines. I don't believe that mylot pays any idividual for this. I believe as they say it is distributed to members. I'm not talking about the idiots that just enjoy giving a negetive rating..those people are just plain idiots. I think that they will also be caught and banned enventually. I have seen some really nasty and uncalled for discussions posted here. It's fine to have your own opinion, hell if we all thought the same way we wouldn't need to discuss anything..lol There is a right and wrong way of expressing ones opinion here, and blatent hatred, predjudice, name calling and vulgar language is not right and mylot has said as much in the guidelines. They encourage us to report violations to them so I think we should all consider ourselves Mylot Bounty Hunters and report violations as we come across them. I don't actually go looking for them to report but I know some people do and I'm greatful...it's less junk for the rest of us to deal with...lol

I will be the first to say not only did my rating go down from a 10 to a 8, but my money went down too. However, I'm not upset at all.. There is so much for me to still learn and understand. I've seen many posts about the possibilities of why ones money or ratings will go down. It doesn't bother me at all.. I mean I look at it this way, This is not my only means of funds. I enjoy coming here, I enjoy posting and responding. I don't make this a job, I come on when I can and have time. I just enjoy the site, the money nor the ratings really bother me. I do make sure I give quality responses and posts though.. :) Good topic MsLady :)

Hmmm,I'm sure there are people in hear reporting others for not following the mylot guidelines. I personally have not turned anyone in. I have given negative ratings to members who clearly were cheaters. To call people bounty hunters and money being dividing up, I don't think there is a reward. I think the adjustment in earnings have to do with your posts. You are credited with the posts you do make, however I think it changes when someone goes back and rates their discussions. For instance, I am posting on your discussion today, but you don't rate it until Saturday. It may effect my earnings on Saturday either good or bad. I know everyone says it has to do with your star rating but I think it pretains to your earnings as well. You got to love the MYLOT pay scale mystery. LOL

I don't think mylot distribute the earning of banned user.i think mylot shares there daily profit with us;thats how some times we earn high-less with making certain amount of post.however our earning get effected due to spam.you see,our share get distributed with spammer too.this day i see some people are making number of discussion n one line post every min.this how we getting paid less these days.

Interesting question, I hadn't thought of it like that. I haven't been here that long, only since the end of Jan. but twice my earnings have gone up, the first time by $1.38 and now today for $1.40. I think that it's split up amongst all that are following the rules though. If your posting quality discussions, posting quality responses, possibly even reporting abuse, ect.... I think that mylot looks for the people that are doing over all participation and those are the ones that recieve the extra into their accounts. That's just my opinion, I have no idea how it really works, just from the guidelines and listening to others this is the opinion that I have formed from that information. Good luck here at mylot!

I think they must be dividing it between people who are making quality posts. I'm not sure how exactly it works. But I've only turned one person in. And I did that yesterday for copying two lines out of one of my responses and pasting it as their own in the same conversation. It was obvious that it was a copy and paste because they didn't even bother to make it into full sentences. And as most of you know, I write 2 or 3 line sentences a lot, so I wasn't a good one to copy from if you aren't going to check and make it make sense! LOL Anyway, my earning have gone up twice in the last few days. One day they increased by over $3 and today they increased by around $.80. I'm not really sure why mine seem to increase more than most people's. I was actually very surprised when I saw that mine had increased so much today because I haven't been doing a whole lot of posting lately. I agree with a previous poster about bounty hunters, though. They do exist on mylot, but I don't think turning someone in gets you more money.
