So i now officailly sell Mary kay make-up and facial and skin products. IO am planning on selling it around my dorm, on Ebay, and to friends. Does anyone have any tips on how to sell makeup? Just so everyone knows MAry Kay is the BEST makeup out there and is not sold in ANY stores. Any suggestions anyone? Also let me know if anyone wants any. I'll send you a description of some of the products.

My tip is to not be too pushy with your friends and family. When my friends did that, and would talk about it around me everyday I saw them at school or work, it got irritating to the point that I refused to ever buy from them.
The best way to sell to your friends is to be sly about it. Use the make up and products and wait for them to say something about how nice you look, then just slip it in there "oh yeah it's that new mary kay I'm selling. It's awesome" You'll get more friends on board with that trick than with bugging them.
As for your non-friends, you can sell to them best through the net, make a website and link to it everywhere you can!

It seems a lot of people are doing this recently, including people I directly know. I guess the best way you could sell it is by word of mouth. But don't sound like that's the only reason you're talking to them. The ebay thing is good, but you're going to have to fight for sales because everyone else is going to be as well.

I have been using May Kay skin care products for about 20 years and I just love. You are right they are one of best out there. I guess my only thought is just that, that they are best and that should go a long way for you. I also have talked to other people who have sold Mary Kay and they say book a lot of parties. Girls always love to buy makeup and will definitely buy if they are at a makeup party. Good Luck.

As a man, my advise is to reverse the thinking for yourself. What would have you purchase from another woman that is in this business?

Oooh... Mary Kay!
Do they still sell those hand kits with the exfoliant and hand butter?
That stuff works like a charm and the small kits make excellent gifts!

I Sighned up with Mary Kay ten years ago. I tried selling the product for almost a year and I was unsuccessful. I sworn never again would I get involved with any sales products.

All the girls in my family (aunts, mom, cousins, etc.) made an all girls day where a Mary Kay seller came over to the house and we tried products and ordered some. It was pretty fun since I don't usually wear makeup. ^^

I agree with not pushing it on your friends, just ask every now and them or let them look at a catalog that you have! But you can always pass out your buisness cards (like if you have a web-site). I knew a lady that would pass them out to everyone, the cashier at Wal-MArt, the girls in the drive-thru at McDonald's. I can't imagine doing that but the worst thing they can do is throw it away. No harm really. You can put your cards on cars in parking lots.

My partner gave me that kind of product. And from then I've known MK is expensive and somehow can't afford that much. My mom uses toner and timewise products in MK. She also uses velocity too. I also planned to be a seller before but i don't match in that girly thing my mom wants to be one but there seems to be rare buyers in our area, they can't afford when it comesa to pricing but MK is the best in make up I agree because as I can see to what my mom wear, MK makeups is solid. Perfumes are nice too. A must buy for everyone...just don't ask about the price.

When selling anything, first hand experience with the product will be a key in selling it. Try out the products, note your skin type, and only tell the people with the same skin type your results..otherwise you will other people with different skin types complaining because it just didn't work like you said. Be honest about the product, and make sure you honestly back it up 100% when talking about it. I can't use Mary Kay for some reason, but I loved it when I could use it. All the best of luck selling your products :)

Greetings!
Imagine a guy who met the girl of his dreams for the first time. He's so excited that finally he's got his chance to approach her. After introducing himself to her he immediately proposed marriage to her. He's so confident about himself that he could take care of the lady for the rest of their lives as long as she marries him. What do you think would be HER reaction?
Yes you guess it right. I was doing this kind of thing for years and it was so stressful and ineffective. Until I discovered "Attraction Marketing". It's about attracting like minded people to you without you chasing the wrong prospects. Is it real? know this would be the question in your mind, but hey as far as I am concern it works for me.
I have a web profile http://www.friendster.com/15080572 or http://www.friendster.com/jhtglobal. No need to read my profile just go straight to the book. Scroll down to "attraction marketing" to find out more about what I am talking about. No commitment here, just sharing what I learned from sleepless nights of research on how to market myself right. Dont' waste time looking for other ways without checking this one first.
And if later you find this valuable, don't thank me I am just paying it forward.
