Ok, this summer I'm getting a job. I don't have much time, but I can work at Mcdonald's or something. I'm only 15, where should I get a job, and how much money do you think I can make. I'm just trying to make some extra money, and I should ATLEAST make 1000 dollars a month. Do you have any suggestions?

Most places won't hire anyone younger than 16. You're never going to make anywhere near $1000 a month at your age even if you do find a place that will hire someone your age.

A lot of places in my state won't let you work there unless you're 16 or older. They won't even let teens deliver newspapers in my city. But, I know teens who have made money doing various odd jobs for neighbors, such as cleaning or taking out the trash, etc. If you have a special talent, or are especially good with people, you can go into business for yourself. A lot of places also don't let you work more than a certain number of hours a week if you are in school, so getting that 1000 a month might be a little difficult, especially at fast food places.

I just realized you said "summer", so maybe they might let your work more hours, then.

In my state, I can work at MickeyD's (Mcdonald's). I think you make 7 bucks an hour, and you can work 8 hours a day.

Wow, that's great. And, that's pretty good pay. Maybe I should move there (ha ha).

Do the maths and work out just how much you'll need to work to arn $1000 dollars a month at $7 an hour. You're going to have to work between 36 and 43 hours a week. McDonalds is very hard work, you won't have time for much else. You're 15. I'm glad I didn't work when I was that age. I hung with my friends, even though we couldn't afford to do much. Responsibility is overrated. That said, McDonalds does give you good work experience, which can lead to better jobs in the future. Best of luck.
