I wear glasses and I am always putting the things down and forgetting where they are. My most embarrassing place for them to turn up was in the microwave! Luckily I was putting food in there to cook, and didn't just turn it on, or there would have been very expensive snap, crackle and pop lol.

If you could see my desk you would know that that would be a very dicey place to leave my glasses! Mount Everest is only slightly higher than the piles of paperwork!

I am still getting used to having to wear glasses. So, I haven't left my glasses anywhere unusual. It's a good thing that you didn't turn on the microwave. And, that is a very strange place to leave your glasses. lolol

Yes, glasses are SUCH fun to get used to, aren't they? They got the prescription for mine wrong on one occasion and it was like walking on one of those bouncy castles, I could not stand up right when I was wearing them because the ground came up to hit me!
Yes, I haven't lived it down leaving the glasses in the microwave yet, heaven knows how much longer it would take for people to forget if I HAD switched it on! Doesn't bear thinking about really. No, I don't know how I came to put them there, but as usual I was trying to do half a dozen things at once, and doing some of them wrongly!

Now, THAT was a case of pity there was not a camcorder, if ever there was one! You are lucky you didn't knock the hand brake and end up with a runaway car! And cars are so uncomfortable how you ever managed to get from the back to the front without waking up! Well, hats off to you, that is all I can say!

Did your kids put the glasses on the chair? Must be expensive for you to have them hiding glasses everywhere! Shows that you are a really happy family though, for you to be so good tempered about that!
Yes, I have managed to leave glasses in the fridge and also they dropped down the back of the computer desk and this resulted in a week long search for them. I had made an appointment for an eye check up before buying a new pair when we finally found them!

Interesting thought though, exactly WHAT were your children trying to hide from your sight, as well as those glasses?
Yes, ouch! indeed as to payment for glasses. Suppose you will have to think up a lot of new mylot discussions to pay for those, and that is GOOD, because I enjoy your discussions. Shame that you have to spend money on glasses though, and they never give you anything back for the old ones.
Do you recycle your glasses through a charity scheme? In the UK we have a scheme whereby we can return glasses that are of no use to use and they are sent, I think, but I am not be right about the exact charity, to OXFAM who distribute them to others who can benefit from them.

when I was in college I wore contact lenses. I had chronic dry eye so as soon as i got home out they would go and put on my glasses. One time I left them in my shirt pocket and washed them with the rest of the laundry. I looked for ever for them. Then when the laundry finished and I changed them to the dryer. There they were. At least they were clean LOL

Goodness! You were really lucky you found them! I would not be able to see a contact lens, even with my glasses on.
I can't wear them because one of my eyes does its own thing, and wanders all over the place, so I have to wear glasses. I am blind as a bat without them, but sometimes that can be an advantage, as I see the sky and trees and none of the "urban flowers" lol.

Well, I have too many things to do and being me I try to do too many of them at the same time, so things often end up in peculiar places and it does not make me very popular.
We are off to the shops. Where have I put the bill to be paid? I think I have put it into my bag, but no, I have pinned it to the notice board in the hall, which we discover about an hour after we first decided to set out. ooops!

Yep, been there, done that! It isn't so bad if you are the only one who knows, but if you actually ask someone to help you look for them . . .
