I think it could happen. Will it happen in 2008? I really couldn't say. The major names I've heard so far for Democrat are Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwards. The only name I recall hearing for Republican is Giulliani. If the Democrats decide to be daring, Obama will win the nomination. If not, Edwards will. America isn't ready for a female president, and I doubt the democrats that vote in the primaries are willing to take the long shot risk of having her run. Now, if Obama runs against Giulianni, we should be prepared for at least one more term with a Republican president. Obama is in the limelight now, but people will always, always remember Giulianni as the 9/11 mayor, which is a much better position than the 9/11 president. I think a black president is definitely in our near future. I would say sometime within the next three presidential terms, but I'm not confident that 2008 is the year it will happen.
