My earnings were reduced too. So how come they decide to delete posts? On what basis do they do that? Does anyone know?

I think there might be some discussions which you have replied that are deleted . I also think that Mylot is scanning some of our replies and discussions as well. It do happen to some members but actually it doesnt happen to me, so check things out if there are some discussions being deleted.

I have some discussions that was deleted and that made some of my earnings reduce but for clarity sake that was not a mere yes or no discussion it was one of the good ones I start up.
Don't worry maibam! just continue the quest to respond quality discussion and start a sensible topic that lost will regain in due time.
I have just learned a lot with some of my not nearly nice experience in myLot.

To the best of my knowledge, the decrease in the earnings can be attributed to the following factors:
* You posted a thread, that was either a repeat post, which resembles 'too much' with another post by some other user, which he posted before you. To prevent this, you are adviced to search for the topic, you are starting, and confrim to your best, that it has not been posted before.
* You replied to a discussion, that was deleted afterwards by myLot moderators. To prevent this, you are adviced, not to attempt replies of any subject, which looks contraversial, demeaning, of low statandard, or hurting anyone's feeling. Most of thjese subjects are always vulnerable for deletion, and your response to gets deleted in the process, thus affecting your earnings.
* Your response was against the guidelines set by myLot. This is not limited to use of abusive/objectinable language, but it also has other factors like, giving obtionable links of other websites, directly or indirectly marketting your discusions etc. For more, please check the guidelines.
Also, myLot, in its routine clean up, need not always end up with decresing one's earnings. It can go other way too. Me, and many other members have seen an increase in our eanrings. So, don't loose hope, just stick to rules, and you will do well.
All the best.

Make sure you have read and understand the mylot guidelines for posting http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx
Mylot makes it very clear they want quality posts so if you post discussions or respond to discussions that do not follow the guidelines they are not going to pay for those. It is their right and if you think about it you would understand. If they allowed just any old thing to be posted people would be posting "yea", "no", "ok" and things like that and taking the money from mylot and also from the members who do take time and put thought and effort into their posts.
