Australia will win the world cup in my opinion. They are the favourites even after 5 consecutive losses. They have a month to regroup following a series of disastrous performances.I ma confident that they will fight back against all odds. They are the most consistent team in the world in the last decade in both forms of the game.

Hi, I can safely say this. Aussie appetite for the world cup is far greater and more intense than the other competing teams. I think it makes them give that extra boost needed to win in crunch situations. But, this world cup is going to be the most "open" one in it's history without any clearcut pre tournament favourites due to the untimely retirement of some of it's legends. However, for a neutral cricket observer, this world cup is going to be a feast of his lifetime. Let the better team on the day win. Thanks.

I definately think Aussie's can win the World Cup.
It will be much more difficult than they seem to think. The nature of the competion means that the team who plays best on the day will win, not necessarily the best team. England, New Zealand, India, South Africa, Shri Lanka, West Indies and Pakistan all have teams capable of beating Australia if they play to their best. Especially now the English have taken the "unbeatable aura" off the Aussies.
I will be going for Australia, but regardless of the result, I am really looking forward to the competition, it should be fantastic cricket with so many great teams competing.
