What are you going to do on your snow day?

I live in Indiana. We are supposed to get a boatload of snow this evening and tomorrow with blizzard like conditions. I haven't seen much yet, but they seem pretty sure its coming. I had to go to the store and get diapers earlier. Lord what a zoo. People are freaking out. I think the most we are supposed to get is 16 inches. Which is a lot, but not so much you will be stuck for a week or anything. People were buying like 4 gallons of milk. It cracks me up. They have already closed a lot of schools and businesses for tomorrow in anticipation of the snowstorm. SO, if you were gonna be snowed in for a couple days, what would you like to do?

We are expecting 6 - 8 more inches tonight and the wind is really howling as well....ahhhh life in Nebraska.
Anyhow, we are kind of used to this type of thing. So we just go on with our normal life. My daughter will go to school on the bus (if they don't cancel school, which they might), hubby and I will work on things for our own business as I have gotten in a bunch of new inventory that must be cataloged and priced marked, I will cook dinner, do laundry and probably vacuum, dust, etc.
I do have to run to the grocery store though....lucky for me it's only about 4 blocks from home. But even if it weren't, I'd have to get out there an go...I'd just wait until later in the day to do so.
I'll write a few freelance stories for submission too. That way I'll have some done up for submission to the companies I work with and can do that as I need to and save time too!! Good thing in my life, saving time.
Oh, I have to contact a bunch of the markets that I usually do and get paperwork going for that...this I can do from my home office, so that's good too.
What I'd really like to do is put my feet up with a good book, snuggled in a blanket and drinking my coffee. Oh well, maybe another time. :-)

Life will be pretty normal for me too. Even if we get the estimated 16 inches. I stay at home with my baby right now, so we will just have our normal day. And even if I had to go out, I have a Jeep, so I really dont have any excuses unless it is blowing bad. :)

We're supposed to get a bunch of snow tonight and tomorrow and possibly some wednesday. They haven't closed anything yet as we really haven't seen a drop of snow yet. I'm hoping we don't have classes, but at this rate, with no snow, I have a feeling they're going to have classes all day, or at least in the morning because I'm on a college campus. We have classes regardless of the whether and sometimes it's way too bad to actually go out but we have classes anyway. I'd really like to be able to sleep in and get up and do some studying for a test that we might have on Wednesday, depending on how much snow we actually get. I'm hoping, however, that we get a lot of snow and classes are canceled for two days. I need a day off!

Good luck getting those days off. :). I know when I was in college I would sit there watching the closed listings with my fingers crossed. Of course they never closed it. But hey, it doesnt hurt to wish I lived in the country in another county, so I was lucky enough if there was a snow emergency they couldnt count it against me.

Sounds great. I am a stay at home mom, so not a lot will change for me. But I always love hot chocolate and a good book. I am thinking a nice pot of chili and some peanut butter sandwiches are in order too. :)
