My choice would be the Suzuki VX800 as the best bike ever made. It looked great, had shaft drive, had the best ergos on a bike ever made, great seat, had good power, wasn't too heavy, but was heavy enough for long highway miles, had a decent sized gas tank, and an easy to manipulate fuel system, plus a nice sound. And it wasn't too expensive for a bigger displacement bike. A close second would be the Royal Enfield Bullet because of it's history, not because any technical reasons.
