first at all, canada dont mess with other countries, so other countries dont mess with canada
USA have the need to be the WORLD POLICE or something and thats why they are all messed up
the enviroment in canada is way more healthy than in USA
life in canada is calm and you will never find a shooter in a school where you send your childs

I never lived in Canada, so I pick the USA by default.

I understand you point. I see that you feel that Canada is a safe place to live....... but still with the recent ramp up in security after 9/11 has made things better in US, whats your take on this?
When you say US is not a safe place, did u face any such situation?

Canada...I'm from Ontario born and raised but have been living in the U.S for 4 yrs now and I personally find the States a stressful place to live on many levels...there is much less tolerance and acceptance here than in Canada first and foremost which disturbs me..and there is far too much racial seperation here in the U.S which I also find highly disturbing...
and on a lighter note I really really miss real coolers (Smirnoff Ice w/vodka thanks NOT as a malt substitute), real ciggies OMG I so NEED a carton of Players filter, REAL Smarties which are candy coated chocolate thanks NOT pressed powder candy rockets, and colour coded money damn it, I dont know how many times i've pulled out the wrong amount of cash over here when paying for something..and gov perks like OHIP!, Child Tax Credit and GST cheques..did I mention OHIP??

Canada is very nice but I'd choose the USA. It's my country and I can't imagine ever wanting to live anywhere else permanently. Canada is a nice place to visit but the US will always be best to me.

though I havnt been to both the countries but still I would like to add that Canada is better than US. Well this conclusion is based on the experience of my girlfriend who stays in Canada and I feel like seeing Canada thru her eyes.

I Live in Canada. But as a long distance truck driver who travels all over Canada & the USA, I cannot say what it would be like to live in The USA but I've seen many places in the US I would love to live in. Back to your question. I have to say Canada. Even though if I never see snow again, it wouldn't hurt my feeling. I choose Canada because it's alot safer. I've been in places in the USA where I didn't even want to get out of my truck to walk into the truckstop. But I haven't felt that way anywhere in Canada. I hope no one from the USA takes offence to this post, because I love your country and have met many awesome people their.

As a US citizen that lives on the US/Canadian border I have to say I love 'em both! And of course being a HUGE hockey fan makes me love Canada just as much as my own sweet country. If I HAD to choose there's no question that I love my own country more. But since we are lucky enough to NOT have to choose, I love them both!

I personally believe that we are both cut from the same cloth. canada has been a little brother to the states for a long long time. the role of a little brother traditionally has been to help, support and also to question and to become a thorn in the side of sorts, to their older sibling. Older brothers are often inspired and often stressed out by the actions of a little brother. Sounds like the U.S/Canadian relationship. Brothers are brothers though! And they are from the same family. i think as a big brother would let his little brother "get away" with alot of stuff...so too does America let us here in Canada "get away" with alot of our "differences". This allowance to "be" ourselves (in a sense), DEFFINATELY makes Canada a nicer place to live...but I fear it won't be too long untill we are further "Americanized"
