An opportunity it is indeed! Same point here. As long as the opportunity is not misleading and delivers what it promised it will alsway bring good karma.

Making money online becomes a sin only when one offers scam services and whatever else just so as to take hold of other people's money. If you are doing it out of honest effort, no worry there, that's another way of earning some amounts which can be used to finance your needs.

Making money online isn't a sin in and of itself. If the activity making the money is immoral then yes, that would be a sin. Also God does expect us to be good stewards of our time also. So if we are spending so much time online and ignoring other obligations or ways to maximize our income offline, I believe it could become a sin. It is sort of a fine line though and between you and your maker. God does expect us to utilize the resources we are given. I can't really work outside the home very well now and so I try to make money on the internet. Right now it is going pretty well and hopefully will get better and better.

How come you can't work outside of your home anymore? But you could say that internet is God's give to people like you and me. I use the web everyday to surf and search. I only stumbled upon myLot just today. But, better late than never :)

Making money online is not a sin. But employing deception makes it different. The sin there is the act of deceiving others. If you deceive people to earn money, that is definitely a sin. Don't engage yourself in offers that employ deception. First of all you would be a victim of probably scammers in the net.

Erminia,
Yes, absolutely don't be part of what you feel is a scam. That's the best part of it. Don't jump on the opportunity right away. Even if it says its the best there is today.

I think you might visit my website (find the url in my profile)
I'm actually doing an experimentation on how many money someone can earn on the internet in 1 year.
I review all the web services that I try.
I also report all of my earnings
And I show proofs of payment.
This way, you can see which websites pay and which don't.
And then concentrate on the good ones :)
Hope it helps you

Thank you for your opinion. It's just that so much have been said since I was young that making much money is a sin. But, I believe as long as you earn it in an ethical manner it's alright.

It is your choice if you will be deceived.
But definitely making money online is not
a sin. Unless you make money by decieving
others.

I guess those who have been deceived became more cautious in the process.
I agree that as long as you don't hurt others when you earn a living online that is good enough.
