Why James bond known as Agent 007 ...not 008 /009 & so on...?

Nope there is no specific reason as to why it is called 007.But there is 006, he comes as another agent in golden eye. wait a minute.It is called 007 cuz i'm 008 and my friend is 009...LOL.

i realy dont think i can answer you correctly on that...but i have an idea...i think(correct me if im wrong)the intelligence agency where this movie is base serving her magesty the queen designates their agent by numbers may be it so happens that 007 holds one of the highest level in that agency so took that number and adopted it to this movie...well thats just my crazy opinion...i think one has to read the original book ian fleming or what ever his name is where the james bond movie was based...SHALOM!

james bond was created in Feb 1952, by british journalist Ian Fleming, while he was on holiday to jamaican estate, goldeneye. and he was named after an american ornithologist (bird expert). it is also suggested that the name james bond originated in toronto, when british naval intelligence commander ian fleming was invited to participate in SOE subversive warfare training. he had a residence in avenue road, toronto, canada. there was a saint james bond church with address 1066 avenue road, whereas military building address was 1107 avenue road (double ones 0 and 7, hence 007)
