I am going through old posts, I'm telling sweet little lies!! I'm bored lol!!!
In my country you greet strangers with a handshake, but when it is family, it is a full smack on the lips, to turn your face and give your cheek is seen as an insult. In the olden days the fathers would even have kissed their sons.
The black culture is a bit different, and it all depends to which ethnic group you belong to, but it is mainly a few different types of handshakes, they are very into their handshakes almost like African Americans.
I get confused with all the different up,down, curl and shake:))

The first culture that went through my mind were the turkish one.I knew they clasps hands and kiss both of your cheeks as a greeting. It's impossible for me not to know that, becouse of this country's history.

My family is Italian and we kiss on one cheek. I know my mother in law is Belgian and expects a kiss on both cheeks.

Sometimes in Hawaii we kiss both sides of the face (cheeks) but if not both, always for sure at least one side! Italians kiss both sides usually but I don't know any others.
