I met my husband through Yahoo Personals and we have been married for five years now. We started first with emails, then move forward to phone calls, and finally after a month of almost daily phone conversations, we decided to meet in person. We have never been apart since. Based on my own personal experience and of friends who had the same, the rules are pretty much the same when it comes to making an online relationship works. Honesty for me is foundational in any relationship, whether it is online or offline. Surprising as it may seem, there are actually a lot of decent people out there who are looking for real relationships, people who are tired of the single's club scene, the local 'flesh market' so to speak, and would rather find connection through intelligent conversation and witty banter online. True, there are some risks involved and some common sense driven precautionary measures need to be applied if one decide to get involved with online dating. Personal information should not be given out indiscriminately, most especially phone numbers and home addresses. If meeting someone for the first time, be sure to have at least three other people know where you are going and promised to check in through phone at least an hour after. Do whatever you feel is cautious and practical. But overall, the dating waters, whether both online or offline is just as risky, fun and exciting.

To me it's a great way to meet people and make new friends.....because that's where a relationship starts for me. I would definately recomend it to anybody.....the key to success is being careful on who you decide to meet and taking time to get to know the person.

Me personally i havent used it but a friend of mine ahs and he ahd a lot of meetings on there. He has found someone from a dating service and is very happy as far as i know
