A TCP/IP protocol refers to transmission control/internet protocol. It is the protocol for connecting to the internet. Every computer which is on the net is having an IP address. IP address may be static meaning that it will not change for a computer, or can be dynamic means that it will change every time we log on to the net. TCP is transmission control protocol which sees that the messages we send delivered correctly or not.
