They say we spend $125 each for our loved ones on Valentine's Day, although I never spend that much, mostly just obtaining a card and small token of appreciation, although others spend $$$ for their loved one on Valentine's Day, how much will you spend? Do you think we should spend alot for Valentine's Day or wait until a birthday or Christmas holiday?

I think it is crazy to spend that much on each other for valentines day. I just walk to the store and froze my butt off to buy him a 2 dollar card. That should say I love you more than anything else in the world. We were driving up the road the other day an noticed they had doubled the price of a dozen roses for valentines day. Criminal.

I will not spend that much on valetines day. me and my bf have out one year anniversary the 25th and we will be spending more than. I do belive that a small token is ok - but I will not go out and by the world to him. I can do that on a Non.commercial day instead - when he least expects it =)

I don't do the Valentines day thing, i just think it's idiotic to take one day to show someone you love them when you have every other day in the year to do that.
Plus, i think spending that kind of money is a waste too, there's so many other things you can spend it on. I wait for the birthdays and Christmas and what not, that's the time you should be giving meaningful gifts, otherwise, we buy eachother small things all year round. It's nice to know your loved on a day that your not told to show someone.

I just bought my Valentines Gift for my wife and it only cost me 100 Philippine Pesos (about $2 USD equivalent).
I don't really buy gifts that is expensive. It's the thought that counts.
