My dog always sleeps with me & my other half on the bed. She as well always needs to sleep between both me & my other half. I don't know for her if she is unable to sleep between the two of us it's almost like she gets some-what upset.
I don't believe as well as think there has been many times in which she has slept on the floor. She is apart of the family & we make it important to make her feel like she is apart of the family. So by allowing her to sleep with us on the bed is one of those things that help to show her how much we value her as another family member within the house. She's also our little personal heater as she seems to always keep us rather warm at night. As we do the same thing in return. I don't think I would be able to sleep all to well if our puppy didn't sleep right between us each night. You get so used to having your pet beside you that not having them there would feel some-what strange I guess you could say..
I would never personally allow my dog to sleep outside. As I don't think I would be able to sleep all to well knowing that my dog was outside in the cold.. Meanwhile we we're sleeping in a warm house.. I as well would worry that someone would break in to the back yard, unchain her or just pick her up & take her for themselves. I think if I was to wake up & see my dog missing that I believe.. I would never forgive myself because I would know that I had the power to keep her inside or outside.
In conclusion.. Our puppy always sleeps with us on the bed. And we honestly wouldn't have it any other way. As she is apart of our family & we love her so very much! . .
Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

Thank You babyhar, for sharing such a wonderful manner :}
I completely understand you, I feel the same way! As I said somewhere - my dog is like my younger sister :}
I especially liked that part with "little personal heater", there is nothing sweeter than having a little fur ball all lazy and warm lying beside you:]

My dog sleeps in my bed with me.When my boyfriend moved in he tried to sleep in the middle of us.Now I have him trained to when I say "doggie side" he lays next to me on my side.Or I should say he lays in more that 1/2 the bed.He's pitbull/dalmation mix and is kinda big.

Tara still sleeps in her crate. Kai sleeps in his bed near Tara. She doesn't like to sleep alone so Kai has to keep her company. Kai is a good influence on her. Huskies don't like being alone and it really bothers her when she is.

Thank you for your post :}
I have a daschund who allways has to be in the middle of attention. Huskies are totally different, but I think that every dog is depending on his owner's company and attention. If they don't have our attention all time - they need to have one of their own to be by their side.

Our dog never sleeps outside. Although she loves to be out in all kinds of weather, there's no way I would ever leave her out for the night. She sleeps in our room with us, and up until recently (we just purchased a new bed) she would crawl on the bed whenever she could. Our new bed is much higher and I'm trying very hard to keep her off of it as it's nice to wake up in the morning and NOT be covered in her hair.

For the most part, our dog is an indoor dog as well. He likes to go outside to do his business and go for walks, but other than that he likes to be inside with us. Especially during this cold weather we've been having lately, he just runs outside as fast as he can, does his thing, and darts back in the house. He sleeps with us at night and often takes up so much room on the bed that my boyfriend gets up and sleeps somewhere else, haha!
