My girl friend's pompek went blind from calcium build-up over her eyes. The vet said there was nothing they could do. One day she stopped eating and just mopped around the house. The vet said they couldn't find anything physically wrong with her. One night I came home to find her dead in the kitchen.
We don't keep poisons or chemicals in range of her and I saw her eat the day before although she didn't move around much.
We're still not certain why she died although she was 12 she shouldn't have died.
Can dogs get so depressed that they make themselves sick inside and die?

I'm not a vet. But dogs have feelings and they do get depressed. I've seen it happen. Can they die from depression? We can so maybe they can.

Feed him first. Give him treats first. Take him out for walks or a car ride just the two of you. Hold and cuddle him too not just the rescue dog. Rufus will get over his depression he just needs to know that he is Alpha. Make him feel like a king and he will be the happy goofy dog you remember in no time.
