Who should open for India in the World Cup? Sehwag / Uthappa / Sourav / Sachin ?

Sachin -Sourav is the Deadliest Pair in the World, no doubt abt that, but i think Sourav - Uthappa should open indian Innings, Sachin should come at no 4 & Sehwag at no 6 or 7

Sehwag and Robin uthappa for me ,Excellent captaincy by rahul he managed resources verywell and his bowling change field placement were very impressive. dravid proved he deserved to win the cap for icc test team dravid won recently CASTORAL cricketer / batsman of year 2005-2006 ( ind media never highlight dravid’ s hardwork or achievements.) and keep up good work .... team management and bcci should complain to icc about this dubious sub standad umpring SA is playing better cricket than india and 2 umpries are also doing job for it will be very difficult task to win the game. Nobody can take credit from fighting spirit of SA team Game is still open can swing to any side… Best of luck to team india.

i would prefer to sourav and sachin to open the game . they have enough experiance as an opener and got some good record too . sehwag is not in form for a long time its better he can come at 2nd or 3rd . i think its best to open with sachin and sourav

aren't matched still fixed ? why should we waste time on thinking who should go in first and second when people have already decided outcomes of the play....

i will prefer sachin and saurav those guys will really do well...as their earlier performance was also quite good

Yeah i also prefer a left & right hand combination, esp. if they both are capable of scoring boundaries and also rotaing strike all time then it can surely unsettle any bowling attack. I feel we should continue with sourav and utthapa as openers in next two matches agaisnt sri lanka. And if Sehwag performs well in middle order in them. Then we should definately go with both experienced openers sourav and sehwag for world cup as they are matchwinners and if in form can dominate the bowling. Besides if required sachin can also open the innings, which allows flexibility in the batting as most batters can bat at any position.

The Sehwag & Uthappa will be better pair from opening batsman point of view. But nowadays nobody is prooving good performance. Our openers normally make out a few runs 20 to 30 and come back in the pavellion, some times even with ducks. We just love cricket that's why we go on waiting our victory and finally accept the defeat as usual. Some how I am not trusting this game in India, some thing definitly is going wrong, I feel.

I also prefer left and right combination. It is better to have Robin Uthappa - Sourav as openers. Uthappa is a upcoming youngster with lot of talents. He is playing straight. Sourav is a experienced player. He will support Uthappa by rotating the strike. So both Sourav and Uthappa should open the innings in the World Cup.

I think India will fal back to the combination of either sehwag and sachin or it will be sehwag and gsanguly.....I know that uthappa has been performing very well lately but i am still not sure that if he will be given a chance to actually play in the 11 I think India will rely more on experience then the youth so it will be sehwag at the top and most probably ganguly to support him

i would like sewag and sourav. sewag is our nuclear weapon. if its on the track nothing can stop it. moreover he never waste balls. either he earns runs or get out. ganguly the experienced dada can give support to sewag and guide him and keep him in control. i wouldn't want sachin to open as he is our best back up.
