Corruption is not just a problem in the 3rd world nation it is a problem everywhere. Good and bad exist every where it always have and always will. Even when someone goes to jail for it, that doesn't stop the others that are dealing in corruption. I don't think that the corruption in the 3rd world countries have anything to do with developing nations. They are their own individuals and if they choose to be corrupt and ripe off their nation than that is on them and shouldn't be blamed on the 3rd world.

corruption is a big problem for the entire world or the humanity , not only the developing nations. but i will agree with you upto some extent. we can say that corruption is more in developing nations or the nations of the 3rd world. there is a strong reason behind that. as we know these are mostly the nations which are far behind in the race of progress, the people live here are less aware of latest knowledge. the level of education or litterecy is very low here. this makes them un-aware of what their political leaders are doing. politicians use this ignorance in their favour. if the awareness level will increase there will be less chances of corruption. now what the developed nations can do? ... developed nations must try to sponsor development programs for the education, lifestyle, or the technology in these nations. bcz the problem these countries create is not harmful for them only but it is very dangerous for the entire humanity or the earth.

Teach the people to recognize and understand that government is their servant. Although corruption is world wide problem, I think that when people understand that government is their servant, they will have confidence and be apt to approach and appropriately deal with their dishonest government officials.
People just need to understand that they, the people, are the master, and government officials are the servant to the people and therefore, accountable to the people.
