How you know what others have rated you?

I am just curious because I have seen posts were people have complained about so and so giving out negative ratings, simply because they disagreed wiht them or just in general. So I was just wondering how do you find out what others have rated you, it is painfully obvious to me that something happened to my rating between last night and this morning as my star went from a 10 to a 6. I personally and not super concerend about it. I just figure if there is a way to get an explanation that would be nice.

The system is anonymous, and it always worried me that you could get 'revenge' raters on here, I mean what's to stop someone (-) on every one of your responses? But then again if you knew someone who was (-) your responses then would you do the same to them? It's a double edge sword with pros and cons for both knowing who rates you and who doesnt.

I agree that the ratings should stay anonymous as far as who gave the - to you, I was just simply curious what conversation I took part in, or what I had replied with that got me knocked down so far. Th only reason being is that like everyone else I like to improve myself and would want to avoid doing it again on another post.

I agree, how can you learn from your mistakes if you don't know what they are?

If you take part in a controversial topic like religion or politics more often than not your ratings will be hit. At least thats what I think happened to me. Some people will give a negative rating just for not agreeing with them. If you truly believe in what you are saying then in my opinion you should say it irrespective of the rating. I haven't given a negative rating to anyone so far.

I would have to agree with you, I did respond to "hot" topic and the next day whamo I dropped four points on my star. I guess that there is some part of me that is a little disapointed I couldn't hold on to my blue star. But on the other hand I didn't really join here to be the nice girl in the corner, so I just have to get over the star thing if I want to voice my opinion.
Thank you for responding.
